Tensioner Pin

Was the Tensioner pin replaced in the 99 model year? According to the haynes book there should be a pin but I didn't find it when I opened the timing cover. It seems the bolt holes are where they should be but there isn't a pin. I should also mention that the tensioner pulley seems to not have a nut but something different.

If someone has more specific information about the 99 model year I'd love to hear it. Specifically, how to relieve the tension on the belt for removal and the reinstallation procedure.

Thanks alot.

It seems that I've found the answer. I am replying to my own post just in case someone else can use the information. It seems the tensioner pin was removed and the tensioner pulley is now springloaded. The pulley springs can be compressed, thus removing the tension on the belt, using an adjustable spanner wrench. Hopefully someone else will find this usefull.
