Accord Speaker Install
Whaddap fellas. I have a 2000 Accord 4dr and Im planning on replacing the factory 6 1/2 in the front doors and 6x9 in back with some better ones. Sony Xplod to be exact. The only thing I'm worried about is how the new speaker would look in the stock molding. The mesh covering over the speakers is oddly shaped and I 'm pretty sure that the new speakers will stick out too much to put the mesh back on there, leaving a nice speaker in an ugly, exposed molding. Anybody with experience in this situation have any info/tips???

First of all, if you haven't bought the Sony Xplod speakers, don't. They are crap (IMHO). Second, the front speakers should fit without a problem. If they are a bit too deep, you can cut spacers for them. There is plenty of room between the door and the grill. The rear speakers should also be a drop-in. If you need to space them as well, I know you can get away with a .25" spacer.
