Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
I'm sorry for the mis-understanding Andrea - I should have realized that was not your bike because the rear cowl lettering is incorrect and I know that was something you wanted to correct. Also I checked the "nicolecron" Laguna Seca decals and they have the lettering separate on the rear cowl from the black background so a person can correct the flaw that is with the ST27 decals - John

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
I saw the nicolecron.... I suppose they are new. The semakin writing is correct and the black stripe for the rear cowl seems to be correct too. A better choice instead S27

Yes your are correct Andrea - I just ordered a set of the Bike decals and the "rossi" leathers suit decals from Nicolas - at Nicolecron. I have purchased other decals that he sells and they are all very good quality. - John |

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
Andrea - nice carbon work on the exhaust hanger - also great detail on the exhaust pipe/muffler in general. I thought the rear cowl lettering was supposed to be different from what you have. The rear lettering you have is like the ST27 decals?? I thought you noted that was a mistake in the decals from the reference pictures you have. still it all looks great - John

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
Sorry Andrea - my miss-understanding - Yes those letters. I was talking about what you had discovered pg3 last entry this thread. It wasn't that the writing was wrong it was that the writing was "clear" and required a white background to show thru the letters. Now I fully understand the error with the ST27 decals. - John

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
Yes I see that now Andrea - you have done a great job with attention to detail on the bikes you are building - many people have been viewing this thread you have started and I am sure it has helped many and given others some good ideas to build theirs - - John

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
Just to show you I'm doing nothing....
Worked at the windshield which has a little piece of the 46 number. Did a new white decal and correct the white little circle on the number (which is the white rivet on the front cowl) as it went on the windshield. In the beginning I did it by brush, in the second moment I decided to sacrifice a new decal to cut the orange/blu stripes and cover it. After all just a swim into the future. Painted all with 2K , added some screws and PE |

Andrea - I have learned a lot from these builds of yours - which company screws for the body panels did you use? - John

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
Completed the front cowl, it took a lot of time with decal and clear windshield.
Corrected the decal into the air inlet with an home made decal. Now I discovered in the picture a little bubble I didn't see with my eyes.... I have to correct it. Working now on the steering sensor... |

Re: Yamaha Tech 3 + Laguna Seca
I'm trying to correct the little bubble, but it's not easy and the result will not be like a brand new fairing....
Pictures of the whole assembly Some details Something is still missing, some PE bolts , rear camera, seat, and front axle bolt. Hope to finish in the weekend..... |
