VW T1 Delivery

Here's another project I am working on at the moment.

It's the well known Hasegawa T1 delivery kit.

The wheels will be replaced for Fuchs wheels from an old Fujimi Porsche.

I'll paint the body in Graphite Grey with a checkered roof.

First I primered the body and painted the graphite grey. I wasn't really happy, so I added more black to the paint.

Then I started masking the body. The method I use is because I don't want to cut in the paint. For this method I needed to mask off the roof twice, but I have very sharp squares now. And no scratches from cutting the tape!

After that I clearcoated the body. Again I had some paint issues, so I also had to polish this body. Grit 1500-12000 was used and the Menzerna 4 step polish compounds were used on a Dremel.

Re: VW T1 Delivery

The interior is done now. I kept it simple. Just added a seatpattern decal from Scale Motorsport on the seats. The dash is painted black and clearcoated. The wheels are painted with Molotow chrome and the centers are handpainted with a brush.
