1990 Geo Prizm LSI - Starter Removal Help?
Any tips on removing the starter? The lower bolt wasn't hard to reach, but it the top one is tough to get to. How much other stuff do I need to take off to get to it? Anything especially tricky or hard? All advice appreciated!

I did take out the air filter assembly and hose to give me more space. That tended to work. Also, I unplugged a couple of electrical connections. Overall though, stuborness is what you need... Hope this helps. |

Re: 1990 Geo Prizm LSI - Starter Removal Help?
I ahve the 94 lsi and cannot find the starter. I have a book that tells me to take off the air filter and then get to it that way, but when I did that the starter wasn't there. Do I get to it from underneath? Anyone have a pic or diagram of this make, model and year?

starter
it is really not bad it is on the bottom of the engine. When I did mine on a 95 I removed the air intake and some of the emissions equip. after that I had it out and the new one in in about 45 min.
