Is There a G20 Expert In The House????

I have a 99 G20T with 133000 miles, at about 85000 between 1000 and 2000 rpms(at a specific interval such as 1500-not the whole range) the engine would sound like it is missing as I was in gear going up a hill or if I step on the brake while in gear and step on the gas to test it. I took it into the dealership back then and they kept it for 3 days and could not figure it out. From 85000 to now I lived with it and happens most but not all of the time.(check engine light goes on and off) It does not occur until I get up to temperature. I went to a specialized shop yesterday and got new plugs, wires, rotor, cap and PCV valve and guess what, it has not gone away although the car runs great. Any ideas??? The car is in very good condition and I would like to fix this before I trade it in. Also the code they got when they tested was P0301(Miss #1 Cylinder). ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, thanks, Jeff.

Check the #1 cyl and see what the plug looks like..you could have oil comming up from weak rings and fouling the plug out. Since you have new ignition system components i would suspect that its an internal engine problem causing the misfire.
