02 Ram transmission problem
I have an 02 Ram with the 5.9L. Just over the weekend it started slipping in first when i start from a stop. I tried manually putting it into first gear with the shifter, and it dont slip at all. I figured i'd ask here to see if anyone knows a fix before taking it to a transmission shop, where they'll tell me for sure that i need a new transmission. Any help with this would be appreciated

Re: 02 Ram transmission problem
why don't you try and ohm out the transmission solenoids and see if they are in spec. if one goes bad it can cause a 2-3rd gear start. mike
