I first drove stick when i was 18. When i first looked at it...it looked so difficult! I think the best way to learn to drive stick is when you take it out alone. For some reason when my dad teaches me i always stall cause he has no patience at all man

Yeah I know how that is. My dad was such an asshole when he was trying to teach me to drive stick, no patience what so ever.

I was first taught about 9 years ago (16yrs). It was in a Ford F-350?? Damn thing was hard !! I could never remember to push the clutch in to stop Actually bought my first 5-speed about 4 years ago...will never go back to a auto until I turn old and grey with bad knees.

I learned 4 years ago. My ex-wife (then fiance) got a 93 Explorer sport, she she taught me how.... first time driving it, she had parked it on a steep slope going up, on a DIRT road, and told me to attempt to take off..... WITHOUT SPINNING TIRES....... geez, no pressure there

been driving a manual ever since..... at least until I got my current car..... 1 yr ago.

what are u talking about man?

I think, It all depends on either ur parents or where u live. In mexico I learned when i was about 8. Kids in texas could get their license @ 12, but that's bcuz they need to work on the farm or live in a ranch or somethin'. Depends.

learned at 8, Been driving since i was 13, legally driving a year ago.(when i was 16)
