Question Opinions on the XK8

I am about to buy an 2004 XK8, and I am very leary.

I have been told that they are very unreliable, and they will be in the shop more than on the road.

Please post any opinions you may have, good or bad.

Thank you for your help.....

Re: Opinions on the XK8

The Jaguar XK8 first came out in 1996 as a 1997 model. It had a 4.0 liter V-8 engine.

The 2003 XK8 was revised with around 900 changes/new parts including a 4.2 liter V-8, 6 speed ZF automatic transmission, and a lot of other stuff.

The 2005 XK8 was revised with a different exterior, larger exhaust pipes, and some other stuff.

Re: Opinions on the XK8

Ive got a 99 and am very happy with it. The ony problem has been the battery draining down when I leave it sitting for to long (a week, I know I must have a short somewhere). Otherwise the car looks and runs great.
