Tamiya Primer and Colour Combination

Hi everyone
Firstly a quick question, I have read in various places that the pigment in red and yellow plastic can 'bleed through' ruining a paint job. The article went on to add that a sealer is necessary to stop this, what I would like to know is if Tamiya Surface Primer can act as a sealant or if anyone can suggest something else i can use (availiable in Australia) before I start painting my Italeri Ferrari 250 GTO.
As for actually painting the car, can anyone suggest a colour that would match a red interior? I am planning a predominantly red interior at this stage and cant settle on a colour combination for the body and wheels to match this. What combination have people have seen that work with a red interior?
Thanks for any advice
Duncan

The colour "bleeding through" refers to when you paint a dark colour plastic with yellow or red paint. Then a light coloured primer coat is needed to stop the bleed through. Tamiya Fine Surface Primer works great!

Good colours to match a red interior? : Light Gunmetal, Gunmetal, Black
