Murano Brake Noise-2006
I have an '06 Murano that when in reverse, the brakes squeak and squeal.
I have dealt with the dealer, who has his hands tied. Written to Nissan and received a call back from the same Customer Service Rep I spoke to a month ago. Claims no recall, and no answers as to why this is a problem. His answer was useless. The problem I have is that the car lists for over 35K and this should not be an issue. I had an '04 and never had this problem. I am wondering if there are other owners with th same issue. (I have seen this posted before but had to do with the '03. They tried the '03 fix, but that only worked for a day.) Looking forward to input. |

It's been awhile since you posted... did you ever get a fix? We're in the same situation with our brand new 2006 Murano lease and are getting very frustrated.

Talked in length to Nissan corporate. They claim no other problems were reported. All B.S. It just kills me to pay for new brakes someplace else but at least I know it would be fixed and the would not squeak. I posted this thread in hope that others would respond and I could send it to Nissan. My dealer tells me there are dozens of complaints from their dealership alone. After all this aggravation, they probably will come up with a fix. |

Re: Murano Brake Noise-2006
I have a 2006 Nissan Murano SL with leather and sunroof package and have the same problem with the breaks. In reverse they squeak like an old car.
Please advise any given recommendation. Thanks, |

Re: Murano Brake Noise-2006
i have the 04, also with the same problem, but i noticed that with mine it happens when brakes are cold, it has progressively gotten worse with up-coming winter, it may be the cold weather has this been considered?, also have noticed a ticking sound coming from brakes when braking at lower speeds, ive been told my parking brake needed adjusting which i have done loosened and tightened either way not cancelling the clicking sound has anyone else had same or similar problem?

Re: Murano Brake Noise-2006
My 06 SL does the same thing. There is a service bulletin on this issue so Nissan is aware of the problem but no recall. Apparently it is just the nature of the beast and I can deal with it for the short drive from my garage to the street as long as it is only in reverse.
