Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
the cockpit of the ford gt is quite dark. seat is dark, dashboard is dark, seatbelts are dark. not so much to see and no doors open. just some lights to make it a little more alive (still no seatbelts and buckles in pic, but dont change so much honestly...)
windshields decasl in position as well as the modified front 6 lights. My car will have yellow plastic covers, in le mans style

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
and then finaling decalizing and glossy.
One time more I think the gx 100 placed in layers and polished is the best choiche for scale models. No glossy thickness as in die cast (at least that was my level with 2k). gunze gloss is really great. tamiya compound even better. no fear and lets proceed with all it. with all her decals on the gt2016 is really taking life...maybe soon completed

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
more and more she is coming to life...and more and more I really think this car is a must to have in collection.
Not a promo for profil but the colors and the shape is amazing. ford really bet with this new gt40 of modern times. amazing car under every point of view. Going on with mine, really last steps before see her done. small debrits but takes a lot of cares and time to be done. the rear area around the giant extractor of this car I made in the way to hide the absence of engine. It is all quite hided and black color helps a lot. add to this when model will be completed there will be also the 2 big C supports for the main wing and then ,,,time to be near her contender, that 991 rsr always soo damn fast cant really wait to make also the c7r...and finish some 458s gt. Those racers are too nice, and it is a so pleasur pause in building my other little fellow, that believe me, is incredibly much harder to do. caproni ca.114 1/72....full scratchbuild.

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
Looking very nice. As I've stated before. Love your GT builds. You make the conversions look effortless.
Mine's gonna have to wait till the new year, just too much on the go right now to get much building done. Awaiting the finished shots of this one. You going to build the Revell C7R or do a GT conversion of your own? David |

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
thanks a lot David.
hope you will enjoy the build of the gt 2016 as I did with mine. Of course Profil24 model makes it much more easy, even if probably I would go anyway for this way of build. I have the revell c7r. It is a nice model even if rims are really terrible. it would be nice to recreate this image..

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
thanks a lot guys. really happy you all appreciate this ford.
My next gt can be probably the honda nsx, cause the company I worked yrs ago is the maker of the car racing the next Daytona 24hrs. Just have to wait a little to achieve proper documentation, that right now is quite secret still.. thanks again.

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
As usual, wonderful work. Given that Revel have announced the release of this car in 1/24 scale next year(2018)...how the hell did you mask and paint the "tunnel" behind the doors. I've looked at the car from most angles and see it as a real hazard preventing me from buying the model. I just can't see how to get a clean finish in this area.

Re: Ford GT 2016 LM 1/24
Thank you mate. I am happy mfh profil 24 and now revell made it possible for many kids around to have this stunner in the collection. I think I can build another one with a much different livery if they will ever race one in the future (dream will be situation as for mercs amg, similar to the 80s monomarca races with 956:962...) we will see
About painting not So many secrets: working with very fine airbrush I painted several times and very carefully the x cross roof area. THINK really the way to make it is to work very slow and at a very low pressure, with good masking tape and always respecting the color coverage sequence, so full white, then red and then blue. Helps a lot working with flat paints, as maybe zero colors are. I don't like them and use just gunze acrylic colors, but maybe flat paint dry much quicker and makes this painting even more easy.
