Lamborghini Murcielago
And here's another new project.
It's the lovely Murcielago from Fujimi. A simple kit but I heard good things about this one. I also bought a PE set from CrazyModeler. I'll be using some 81 wheels. The iForged Equip in 20''. And there's is just one cool color for this car. Arancio Atlas Pearl from Lamborghini. Kris.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago
Nice! be wary of the windows, the fit from the inside & its got a molded rubber around it on the body which is incorrect, the Murcs windscreen went the full width to the door openings

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago
New update. I added a few decals and PE plates. After that I added the clearcoat.
The wheels were painted gloss black. I added PE logos before clearcoat. Kris.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago
looking good so far.
I think i read somewhere, (maybe here on AF) that the wheel base is off on the chassis by about 1/8 inch. may want to do a test fit. |

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago
Update!
First of all. Never buy the CrazyModeler PE set for this kit. It's really a waste of money. After the clearcoat was dry, I polished the paint cause I had a little bit of orangepeel and dust spots. After that I wanted to add the PE mesh from the PE set. But I realized they didn't fitt! After looking on the instructions, I noticed they needed to be glued behind the clearparts. Really? That will never look good off course. On the rear it was the same for the mesh under the taillights. On the frontbumper I made new mesh from a PE mesh sheet I had laying around. On the rearside I glued flexibel mesh on top of the clearparts. It's still not perfect, but that part is too complex to made out of thick PE mesh. The headlights also didn't fitt at all. The hood is a bit curvy, but the glass is just flat. I'll try to make the best of this model, but it won't be one of my best models I promise. The joy of building this kit is completely gone now. Kris.
