Drinking straw exhausts INSTRUCTIONS
Well, i figured i'd do this so i don't have to email 1000 copies. Here they are, read them carefully:
Supplies: -A large diameter straw -A smaller diameter straw -Crazy glue (hold best for these) -Scissors -Computer paper or maybe a little bit stronger paper -Paint 1. Cut the big straw to a little smaller than an inch. This will be the exhaust can. Next, cut the smaller straw as long as you want, to form the tip. Look at the pics for reference. 2. Trace the circle at the end of the big straw on your paper and cut it out. This will be the top of the can, where the tip attaches. Put some glue on the edges of the cut out circle, and attach to the end of the large straw. You can put one on the back if you want. The circle in the picture is cut out, and the next picture is the completed exhaust can with the cap on. (I used the macro setting on my camera, but its still blurry in these, but you will get the idea) 3. Take the tip you cut from the small straw, and glue it to the top of the exaust can. Now all it needs is paint. Look at pictures below for reference. Completed: (I used the yellow thing to hold it while painting) If you need anymore help, or just want to say anything, post it! I hope this helps guys but don't forget that practice makes pefect. It took me a while to get these right.

Not bad. But there is room for improvemnet.
I suggest to eliminate the paper thingie (at least from the muffler side with the tip. Most of all because the one you made doesn't seem too stable and my guess is that a slight touch will rip the tip and/or the paper plug off. I would cut the thinner straw quite a bit longer so that it could be inserted into the thicker straw. Now the part of the thinner straw is wrapped in, e.g., masking tape so that the thickness of the tape + thin straw is the same as the inside diameter of the thicker straw. Now insert the straw wrapped in tape into the thick straw and glue it in place. You might aslo want to "plug" the end of the thin straw that goes inside the thick one so that you can't look oo far inside This version seems a bit more stable. Is anything I wrote here understandible at all??? Anyway, this should aslo work with aluminium/brass/wahtever tubing that you can get at your hobby store. Oh, and RG, does your camera have a manual focus capability? You should be able to take clearer pics using that function. Alex-the-king-of-long-replies

Well, i figured out a soluion tonite. I filled the large straw with mounting putty (stuff you can put posters on the wall wiht, then inserted smaller straw. It holds it so much better and it doesnt fall apart as easily.

What are you all, old and retired men?!?!?
I would't use the blu-tack (or poster mounting putty) because it doesn't exactly dry, and in the summer, it heats up and isn't as sticky. The answer to this.... tamiya putty!!! Cheers for posting this...
