How much Zero paints for 1/20 Model?
Just wondered how much Zero paints I would need to airbrush a standard 1/20 tamiya model, I have 2, Lotus 99T and Tyrrell P34.
This will be my first time with an airbrush so I dont have any comparision. I would be using Hiroboy colour matched paints. Thanks in advance Colin |

Colin With the Clear Coat can you spray over the decals without any problems? |

Re: How much Zero paints for 1/20 Model?
I usually get 3-4 models from a 60ml bottle of Zero basecoat paint. You only need a thin layer, just enough to give it the colour because the clear gives you the gloss. If you are using the 2K clear over the decals you will be fine. I have tried it over most kit decals and after market decals with no problems.

Thanks Steve, would you clear before the decals, then another clear over them?

Re: How much Zero paints for 1/20 Model?
Yes, a light clear, just to seal the surface and give it some gloss. I usually allow this to dry overnight, then apply the decals, leave for 48 hrs and then 2-3 coats of Zero 2K clear, 1 light coat and 2 wet coats with 10 mins drying in between. Add a touch more thinner to the last coat of clear and it should flow out nicely and leave practically no orange peel texture and barely the need for polishing....
