engine swap

Where can I find info about engine compatable swaps? In particular will a 2000 2.4l sunfire engine bolt directly into a 2.4l 1996 grand am?

No need to post questions twice, your other post has been removed.

If these pontiacs are automatics with the same transmission then it'll work.
BUT thier will be issues with other sensors that are not the same or located differently.

GRAND AM 95-98 4 SP FWD L4 2.4L V6 3.1L 4T60E

SUNFIRE 95-03 4 SP FWD L4 2.2L/2.3L/2.4L 4T40E

They are not the same... no worky!
