it wasnt in TG mag, he has a column in the Sunday Times, at the back of the sport section (which is the auto section).. a recent TG issue talks about the way he destroyed the Vectra when it came out... apparently he would be lynched if he went to the Vauxhall factory!

I do prefer a Peugeot or an Alfa to a BMW or a Mercedes because it's more exclusive and these german cars are a little bit "cliché" even if they are very good.
DVSNCYNIKL : you could buy an Alfa 166 in the USA, it's sold there. This is the new 166 restyled :

Its definitely better, but the lights are a little Japanesey... i'll have to wait to see it, but its an improvement

The new front end is extremely sexy indeed- the 166 should have looked like that from Day 1

Great forum and interesting set of views on a variety of cars, which got me chuckling because I have owned a 607 and a vectra, now I have an alfa 166, a mercedes slk and a volvo. Just don't ask..

My dad haves an alfa 166 from 1999
its just amazing how it drives and looks my mom haves an 147 amazing to and fast :P its an 2.2 but alfa is just the best car ever :P |
