has anybody had this problem before?

I have a 99 escalade sometimes when I put my foot on the brake pedal to put it in gear and it won't go I have to fuk wit it I hate that can somebody tell me how to fix this thanks

I didn't notice this new post until today. In the event you have not fixed this yet, I'm curious if the issues is the shift lever does not want to move until you mess with it a bit, or if the shift lever moves but the transmission does not engage. If the former, I'd suggest you check the brake lights at a time when the shift lever won't move to see if the brake lights are working. If not, the brake pedal position sensor may be the issue.

If you've already fixed this, please share what it took to fix the issue.
