Re: AMC owners?
I have a 1976 AMC Pacer, automatic, 258 six cylinder. Still runs. Have had this car since 1978. (Kept coming back home so decided I might as well keep it.)
Plan to put it back on the road next month. |

Re: AMC owners?
Not sure on the 65, but on my 68 it's a yes and no answer to a unibody. It has front and rear rails, but the center is integrated with the body chassis.
As for AMC, the cooperation between the "big 3" (GM/Ford/Chrysler) desolved, then it becamse AMC/Jeep/Eagle. |

Re: AMC owners?
I know this is a old post,,
AMC had unibodys on all models starting from 1954 when Company was formed in May . the line was a carry over from Nash 1949 -53 unibody too. Ambassadors ( nash) had frames whereas the Nash 600/ Statesman were unibody. AMC closed out in Aug 1997 to Chrylser.. stock holder % agreed.. |

Re: AMC owners?
I've had some fun this past week with my new scanner, scanning in hundreds of slides my father had taken in 50 years. I came across this one of my brother showing off his new 1980 AMC Eagle. He was living in Mass. but was transferred to Colorado that year on his job, and bought this car before he moved. He still owns this car today, 27 years after he purchased it. He says it does great on the Colorado roads.
