02 DTS blower Motor
02 Cadillac DTS will not blow any air (hot or cold), I'm thinking just a bad Blower Motor but was wondering if they are known for any other problems...

Did you check the fuse first?

Re: 02 DTS blower Motor
Well the problem end up being intermittent. SO I know it's not a fuse problem. I read somewhere else about a problem with the wiring at the connector and unfortunately I never got a chance to test it when it was bad everytime I looked at it it would work fine for me. So today I replaced the blower motor and tightened contacts in the connector.
Hopefully it fixes it. Joe

Re: 02 DTS blower Motor
I saw your post regarding replacement of a DTS blower motor and I have the same problem on my '02. How difficult is the replacement? If you could possibly describe the steps I would greatly appreciate the information. By the way, I can tap on the underside of the blower housing and it will come on and blow as normal. I can hear something that souds like a bad bearing in the unit.
Thanks for any help. Clyde |
