1998 D1500 transmission swap
My husband has a 1998 D1500 pick up with a 5.2l engine. The transmission was rebuilt about 5 years ago, and it has started slipping. He would like to replace the transmission. What year models will fit? Someone told him 98 and 99 only. Thanks for your help!

Re: 1998 D1500 transmission swap
The torque converter "shuddered" in overdrive going uphill 65mph with a load of kids in my 1992 Olds Bravada one night. I downshifted to regular Drive and got home safe. I took the car to the local repair shop and requested a fluid & filter change (I'm not good at trans. pan leaks). Been working fine 15-20 years since.
