What happened to Media Mix Hobby?

Hi everyone,

I've been out of the loop for a while and went to check out Media Mix hobby where I purchased alot of my materials before and it looks like their site has changed significantly and I was wondering what happened to the old media mix that I remember. with the yellow color and format similar to Hiroboy's.

Is it still ok to order from them?
It seems that their product list is significantly shorter than before.

Thanks

I haven't ordered anything from them since the change in their website. Seems like the same people since they still have my order history. Never had any problems in the past, great place to order from.

NO worries , it's still a very good site but their new design prevent me from ordering from them now.Hard to see the whole list of news etc....the old one was much better.Still, they're more expensive than other places.

I only hate it that I can't scroll from new to old products any more. just one page with new.. but more new products which can't fit the page you can't see them all.

Re: What happened to Media Mix Hobby?

I've just completed an order from them last week - I got my item as fast as usual, so no problems there. However, the new website is just awful - I seem to spend a lot more time searching for what I want, and it runs slower. I much preferred the old site.
If you haven't ordered since the new site, you'll have to do a sort of re-register, though not fully, to continue through to checkout.

Re: What happened to Media Mix Hobby?

This is a master example of how to change something from being very good into very bad.
It is very difficult to overview “the news” and just to make things even more terrible: If you instead select a manufacturer (Like MFH or Studio 27) then you can NOT select the critical “show newest items first” sorting. Instead you can select some uninteresting sorting. I guess most potential buyers are looking for new stuff, which is quite hopeless to overview. I just remember Mill House book in UK. They manager to construct a homepage, where it was more or less impossible to find anything you very looking for or to overview new books “since last time”. They ended up going bankrupt.

Re: What happened to Media Mix Hobby?

Hello Wong.
Thank you for the link. But how do I select the critical “show newest items first” sorting. I do not want to browse through 300 items to find the latest news.
By the way: The service of Media Mix still is and has always been excellent. I can only praise Media Mix, but if we could just get the good old functions from the old homepage back, then I would be very happy.

Thank you for doing that! It makes it much easier to search new even though I've made orders since your site change.
