GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
I have driven all of them - I will be using them as a daily driver. I have come down to these three. I am into Trans Am style racing. Based off the PERFORMANCE not the looks which would you buy for trans am style daily driver for the price?

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
as far as track racing, the z will be the best. followed by the gto. so those would be my 1st 2 choices.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
Tough choice, I love all 3 of these cars. I guess when it comes down to it I would have to go with the GTO.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
GTO...I'd try and save up and get the LS2 though.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
Performance-
1) Nissan Z 2) Pontiac GTO 3) Mustang GT Styling/Poise- 1) Mustang GT 2) Nissan Z 3) Pontiac GTO The 350z is just such a well sorted car compared to its American competitors. I want to like the Mustang GT, but performance figures show it to be a dog on the track. I want to like the GTO, but they completely failed when they designed the exterior. I don't want to like the 350z, but I think its the best out of these cars.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
have you thought about an 03/04 cobra? i think that's in the same price range and it out-performs all three.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
I agree with two of those comments, Get the LS2 and 03/04 Cobra would be a great alternative as well.

Re: GTO VS 350Z vs Mustang GT
Each car is very nice in its own right.
The GTO Personally i love the new GTO. The styling isn't a flashback to the past like most comeback cars which is a nice change. Also, the styling is very agressive. The car, for those of you who aren't familiar with it, is a variation of GM's Zeta platform. This was originally engineered for GM's venture into the Austrailian marketplace and sports cars such as the Holden Commodore, which again is a favorite of mine. The new GTO is a very nice well rounded car, but if i were to consider getting one, i would pay the extra for the LS2 equipped GTO rather than the LS1 counterpart. Nissan 350Z You can't go wrong with a Z car. The engine is strong and stock, the Z is decently fast, but not as fast as past Z's like the 300ZX TT. The 350 could use a little more juice, but what it lacks in power is regained in handling. I have a few personal friends w/ 350s and i like them, but wouldn't own one myself just because i dont find that it is the best value for my money. Mustang GT As with a lot of people, i really like the new styling for the '05 Mustang. Recently one of my close friends and his fiancee bought one. It is a nice car and rather quick. I have never been a Mustang fanatic, but it is a nice handling car with a good amount of power. I really feel however it is too common of a car for me. I like to have something that stands out a little from the norm. This choice really depends on your personal preferance as far as style, power, handling, uniqueness, and price. There isnt a bad choice on the list, but depending on the person, there definately is a better choice. Good luck with your decision and i'm sure you will be happy with whatever you pick.
