Here is my first attempt with any significant mods (done wheels swaps but not much else). Let me know what you guys think.

Original:

Chop:

Following list is the things i did:
Color change
Chopped top
Lowered the front
Lowered the sides
Increased the size of the grill opening
Flared the rear wheel well
Took off the front vents
Shaved the side marker light

Thanks for looking

Re: New to photoshop forum and first attempt

Thats great for a first chop, But I think you might have over saturated the color a tad, Other then that good job removing that wing. And the chop top and front end look sweet!

Re: New to photoshop forum and first attempt

Thanks for the kind words...I have been checking out tutorials online at sites mentioned in other threads and seeing what i can do...Anyone have any good pics to start with? Most pics on my computer are ones i've taken. We have a few good ones but no really high res pics...I might be able to find a cool McLaren or Murcie pic to start with. I know the saturation was a little off, but it was built to resemble a model my gf is building that is orange very similar to the color of the one posted.

Thanks again
William

Re: New to photoshop forum and first attempt

try that high resolution auto pics sites. I forgot what the website was, but you can just search high resolution auto and it will come up.

Good job for the first try, my only suggestion would be working with cars that dont have that much sunlight on it, I believe that is why the color looks alittle off.

And if your girl is building a viper, dont let her go.....

Re: New to photoshop forum and first attempt

Thanks a ton for the site with pics. I've picked up a few and i have started on another and am almost finished...It's the pic for the three way battle. Is there anyway i can compete as well? I dont think i'll even come close to winning but i'd like to see what everyone thinks.

Thanks,
William

I'll probably post asking in the three way battle thread.

Re: New to photoshop forum and first attempt

you can always search googles images, just make sure you find a decent sized one to start with. Google can become your friend.
