Brake light circuit
my brake light circuit warning keeps coming on so i checked the brake lights and noticed the left brake light and the reverse lights come on when they want to...i opened the casing and noticed a little burn mark on the brake light housing...do i need to replace the whole brake light unit? thanks for your time...

no...2 door...95 325is...that would of helped alot...thanks though...how are those altezza lights? do you suggest any website for possible purchase? thanks again...

have the same problem with my '92 325i brake light circuit comes on intermintently. Brake lights all work fine though even when the warning light is on. Can't figure it out?

they've nevr been swapped to my knowledge...
I am the second owner of the car however. I am pretty sure they are OEM though. |

brake light curcuit fault indicates that the brake light switch is faulty. even if they work or not.

If it comes up brake light curcuit, it is the switch, it is not telling the computer the lights are working. From the dealer the sw. is about $38

mine did that too . . .
I cleaned the inside where the bulb holders go in and cleaned the contacts . . . . Seems to be ok . . . . now . . . .

Brake light switch? this is the second time I have read about this causeing the light to light, Please Explain, the fuses are all ok.

I was advised by User Antiburn the following:
Your connection to the light cluster may be faulty. Remove the light cluster and check the connection points where the bulb socket mounts to, they also burn and cause the light not to work. Check the pins have not burnt out with the connection. |

if it comes up break light curcuit.. it is the switch above the foot pedal.. it is not telling the computer that the lights are working... if it comes up break light, then the lights are not working... what is it saying?
