Lightbulb E36 318IS headlamps too bright!!

God this is anoying! My headlights are too bright, almost as if 3/4 of full beam is on. Side lights operate OK and the switch seems fine. If I park up close to a wall I see very distinct outlines of the beam which I would only expect from full beam. I've checked the connections and all bulbs operate, I've changed nothing.

As you can imagine, there are a few unhappy punters about!

If I remeber rightly:-

Side lights, inner wee bulb.
Main beam, outer bulb (very bright)
Full beam, inner and outer bulbs (holy....)

Any ideas?

Maybe something like your voltage regulator is not working properly, and you are getting too much power to the lights.
Just a Guess, maybe you should take to an auto-electrician, see what they think.

Best of luck,

i don't see why you would complain of your headlights being too bright. people spend over 5000 dollars on hid kits to make their lights brighter. i wish my car had your problem!
