Houston Get Together - Hooters n Scooters
Calling all Houston folks......
This Saturday evening we are going to do "Hooters n Scooters." Scooters refers to Malibu GP, but we seldom get there. Anyway, I've posted this info to the main SE-R Mailing List as well as the Texas SE-R Mailing List. Don't feel left out since it's the "SE-R" mailing list. It's for all SR20 pilots. This is a good opportunity to meet other SR20 drivers in the area and get our gatherings jump started again. I want to hold a dyno day in September if I can find a decent date to hold it (I have a business trip and a race in September). I am working on getting another "Texas Rally" organized as well. Texas Rally is not a race, but rather just a gathering of folks all over Texas. So, plan on coming out and meeting us. It'll be fun. :jump:

I host gatherings at my house from time to time as well for people to work on their cars. If there doesn't seem to be much interest here, I'll stop inviting people from this forum. I've often had 12-20 people show up at my house from the SE-R Mailing List. :silly2:

When the weather breaks I plan to host another geekout at my house. That's were everyone does a lot of tasks to their cars, large and small (no engine swaps or clutch jobs though ). We've done plenty of cam installs, header installs, even some suspension work. :sun:

Damn. Once again, I feel the need to travel down to Texas. Have a good time, guys - sounds like fun!
Maybe I'll wait until P10DET's engine swap is complete first, before I travel south |

No kidding! Congratulations, that was quick!
Does this mean that all the tuning issues are sorted as well? I know that generally takes a little (or a lot) longer than the actual swap. As soon as I find a way to get over the border, I'll be down |

OK, this is just to put this thread at the top again.
Today is Hooters n Scooters in Houston. Anyone in the Houston area who would like to meet other folks from the SR20 community (SE-R, NX, G20, and hybrids) come to Hooters at 59 and Kirby at 7:00. It's too bloody hot to work on cars, but we can always get together for wings and beer. ....ESPECIALLY SHINER BOCK!
