2000 Susuki Idiling Issue

I have a 2000 Susuki Grand Vitara that recently has been giving some issues. It began when driving on the freeway at 65-70 MPH. The car suddenly and violently lost power and would not react to the gas pedal being pushed down (still lost power even with more "gas"). Pulled it to the side and let it sit. Attempted to restart. Engine started, idiled violently for 2-5 seconds so I turned it off. Called tow truck. Company had been looking at it for five days trying everything from changing the full pump to checking fuel pressure, my catalytic converter and O2 Sensors. I have apparently low cylinder pressure in three of the six (all in a row) which may or may not be linked to the camshaft. I've instructed the mechanic to remove the ground battery cable and cleaning the terminals as the corrosion may be messing with the computer and may need a software reboot. Pending that, I have no idea what's wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!
