Jaguar Owners LOOK!!

I want to know whether or not people who own the newer X-type Jaguars, like them. Are they worth the price? Did you buy it new? If not how many miles?

My father has been looking at buying a new vehicle for a while and seems to be stuck on the idea of a Lexus RX400h, and i wanted to give him some other options just in case. Thanks

I bought a new X-Type in 2003. The car now has 22K on it and has been far less trouble than most of the cars I have owned. My biggest problem - the dye wore off a spot on the driver's seatback. The dealer replaced the setback with no problem. Have your father go drive one - he'll love it. The capability of this car in snow, ice, and heavy rain is fantastic.

Your dad would love it! If he likes a great driving, handling, looking, car. I love my X-Type it is all around my favorite car to drive. Taking out the Formula and pounding the pavement is a bigger rush but just cruising the Jag is much better. And it ain't a slow car by no means.

Re: Jaguar Owners LOOK!!

Our 2002 X-type 3L sport sedan is now ten years old. Have logged about 42K miles, and love the car. Had a fuel pump die at about 33K, fortunately was still in the garage, not on the road somewhere, so had her trucked to my friendly Jag dealer for repair. Our Jag doesn't get driven much since we have two other daily drivers, but this is the one we take on a trip as it is comfortable, drives like a dream, and has more trunk space than most sedans. Gas mileage has been as high as just over 32mpg and we get best mileage at about 70 - 75 mph. Around town mileage drops to 22 - 25. There's a lot of on-board electronics that stays hot when in the garage so I keep a battery tender on her to keep the battery topped up. Would surely have another Jaguar, but hope to keep this one for many more years.
Regards,
Chuck
