Gotta disagree with that one, love the RX-7 with Z06 engine swap. Also saw one with a Lexus V-8, I thought that was different. Also like the rotary in a 510, or other old school ride. Just saw someone with a rotory powered first generation I-Mark Isuzu, you know the rear drivers. |

I am putting my chevy 350 out of my dragtruck into my 89 mustang notchback. I have caught some crap about it but the project goes on. The reason for the swap is I allready have thousands in my Th350 trans and 350sbc which has 400-425 HP on motor and when it goes in the mustang it will have a 125HP nitrous plate kit. So you figure 525-550HP in a notchback that will be driven on the street to me that equals FUN. So to me the swap I am doing will be one I LOVE

Saw that, the paddle shifter set up is great. Would love to put the new Z06 (LS7) engine (427) in a 69 Camaro. Friend of mine has a 69 C10 pickup he wants to put the Z06 in but might just use an LS1 as the Z06 is an expensive engine. |

Go to JTR or jaguars thet run I think that's www.jtr.com or www.jaguarsthatrun.com they can help you put a SBC in almost anything. I have a couple of friends (they're cousins) one rolled his Lightning and he unfortunetly let his insurance lapse. His cousin has a 71 Chevy truck and I'm trying to get them to put the lightning engine in the Chevy truck. The engine has been pumped up to over 500hp and in a chevy pickup that should be fun. |

Re: Engine swaps we like and hate.
A v8 swap into a RX-7 is shitty at best, but a 5.0 swap into a miata... GOLD. lol

Actually I've seen a 5.0 in a 1st gen. RX7, same dimensions as the Miata almost. I agree the 5.0 (specially a stroker) is pretty raw. A rotary in a Miata is cool too. I've seen LS1 GM engines in RX7 and there OK, I'd like to see an LS7. |

Re: Engine swaps we like and hate.
Whats wrong with an LS1 or another V-8 in an RX-7. The LS1 only weighes 60 lbs more than the stock iron 13b. And it gives the car something its never seen before. Torque.
