Should I use dialectric grease in this situation

I am replacing the camshaft position sensor on my 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V-8
and since this sensor is located on the bottom of the engine I'm wondering if I should use any dialectric grease on the sensors electrical connector and the connector pins on the sensor so I can better protect this connection from water and corrosion.
Has anyone had any experience with problems from doing this?
Thanks
