Question Trailer Hitch Wiring 1993 Trans Sport

1993 TransSport 3.8L 400,000 km or 250,000 miles.
The forum is acting strange, won't let me search, si I will start a new thread. What is the best way; where is the best place to tap into the harness to wire a trailer electrical connector? Is there a towing package tap in the harness somewhere at the back?
A bunch of links to trailer hitch wiring appeared at the bottom of the page when I started this thread. I'll start reading while waiting for a reply.

Re: Trailer Hitch Wiring 1993 Trans Sport

Yes, GM did install a trailer hitch wiring harness, but my experience was it was very much a 'Wheres Waldo" search.
If in interpret the diagram, the trailer wiring harness should be located just behind the rear axle, favouring the passenger side. I hope it is on your van, because neither I nor the GM dealer could find it. Their suggestion was to open up the interior and tap into the main harness.
Once I pulled off the drivers sidewall, I found a 5or6 pin connector located about halfway back, around the vicinity of where the middle seats are. It had the running lights plus ground and a 12V source. I tapped into those wires, running them into the rear power compartment, where I could coil the wires and connector. This allows it to be stored without being damaged and feed the connector out through the rear hatch when needed
Edit:
diagrams did not show up unable to post them

Thanks for that. Did you find the brake/signal feeds there too? I will give that a go and then get back.

Yes, it had left brake right brake running lights ground and a 12V feed. It was too bad they didn't extend the harness a couple feet more so it could be accessed by just lifting the shock mount cover, but I guess the bean counters win again.
I will try to repost the diagrams again. If it doesn't work I will PM you with them

Diagrams came through. It looks like the trailer harness should be #12, just past the electronic load level controller (incidentally, I discarded the old non working compressor unit when I put the hitch on). I can't read what the connector number is for harness 12 ie Cxxxx?
