Yep --
Get on the floor under the brake / gas pedals. Looking directly up into the dash/firewall area there's the keyless entry module with the code sticker on the side of it.

I can't remember if the module is Gray or Black... but I'm told "you can't miss it, it's right there...."

Please report back with your findings

Re: 1999 Navigator Exterior entry Touchpad Code?

I have a 99 navigator and i can't find my code. I had another motor and computer put in so where else might I look. I look under the dash and didn't see anything. Maybe i just didn't know what i was looking for. Do anyone have any other places to look or tell me exactly what to look for.

Re: 1999 Navigator Exterior entry Touchpad Code?

I don't have the 1999 Manual on this PC, I'll have to take a look when I get home. The following information might get you going.... Also, it might be good to know the Expedition has some years where the code is in the Jack Compartment visible with the Jack removed.

No help at all, here's your Owners Manual.

Here's what I know about these:

I'm told 1999 is under the dash, above the pedals as well.

The '01 Expedition has a blackbox directly above the brake pedal with a 5 digit # on it..
The '00 Navigator has a whitebox under the drivers side dash with the code # on it..
The '01 Navigator has a graybox under the drivers side dash, way up there with the # on it..
The '02 F250 has a blackbox behind the brake pedal, on the firewall with the # on it..

from another poster:
"the code is taped or stuck on the processor or ecm under the dash on left side by the emergency brake pedsal"

In all cases, the sticker with the number is looking right at you.

Re: 1999 Navigator Exterior entry Touchpad Code?

Ok Guys -- here's the 1999 Navi specific information.
I don't see anything that refers to the exact location of this module, but there's some clues here.

See #7 - RAP Module here:

The remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module is on the ISO 9141 communication network.
The RAP module controls the remote entry, interior lamp illumination signal to the GEM and panic alarm from the keyless entry remote.
For additional information, refer to Section 501-14B.

SECTION 501-14B:
Keyless Entry/Computer Operated Locks 1999 Expedition/Navigator Workshop Manual
GENERAL PROCEDURES

Programming Remotes (FOBS)
NOTE: The keyless entry remote transmitters are reprogrammable and must be set at the same time.

NOTE: To program (or reprogram) the keyless entry remote transmitters into the RAP module, perform the following steps:
  1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN. If the RAP module has successfully entered the program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
  2. Press any button on the keyless entry remote transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed.
  3. If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Diagnosis and Testing.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to five minutes after Step 2, to exit the program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the RAP module will lock and unlock all doors one last time to confirm.

Re: 1999 Navigator Exterior entry Touchpad Code?

I also have a '99 Lincoln Navigator and I just found the keyless entry code today under the driver's side dash right above where your left foot will rest. Get a flashlight because it's very high up underneath there printed on a white cover case located just left of the steering column in bold large numbers. My model has a five number code and it does work.
