Better buy?
Hello,
Will you folks please tell me which is the better deal? #1 ) A brand new Outback 2.5i premium for $24,250 or.... # 2 ) The dealer's loaner 2010 2.5i premium, with 13,000 miles on it. This one has 6 more months of warranty than the new car. They will "give" it to me for $22,200. It looks brand new, but many people drove this car. Thank you! |

Re: Better buy?
Hello!
Hey guys, quick question. The transmission on my subaru outback died. I have a friend that could help me put in a new one, but id have to buy a new transmission. I researched online, and AAMCO seems to be transmission specialists, but i want to know if they're any good. Does anyone have experience in this? Check them out at http://www.aamcocolorado.com/ |

Re: Better buy?
I would stay away from that place. A good transmission shop is hard to find. Subaru transmissions are a little tricky with how the AWD and some other components work because they aren't quite like other transmissions. People sometimes report getting the vehicle back with worse problems than it went in with. A known good used transmission can be an option. Or buying a Subaru Impreza for sale or other model could be an option. Just make sure you get a written estimate before letting them touch it, and know what the warranty is. Some people end up going back over and over and they'll just say they test drove it and didn't have a problem, or it's supposed to work that way, or will hold it for three weeks to look at it while you have no car, and so on.
