Re: Starter car..
Miata is my choice. Getting gold on license tests isn't realistic for beginners. I've raced real cars for 25 years and it took me awhile to get golds. I think you learn more getting a cheap car and racing on different tracks.
I may be swimming upstream here but taking an F1 car an stomping slow cars is only entertaing for a short time. When you start, you need a superior car to make up for lack of experience. But as you get better, you take more satisfaction by winning with a car equal to or lesser than the AI cars. |

Re: Starter car..
I didn't buy, I got all golds in my License tests. I had the Viper Concept. But I used the Maita LS I got from the B.

Re: Starter car..
GTO, I doubt you just bought GT3, opened it up and won the golds. You probably had GT2 before or something like that. And if you are that good, why would you want to blast the amateur cup in a Viper? Doesn't make sense to me.

Plus, I don't race like that. I race what the field had. its really boring to just dominate. I like staying with the pack. |

a) the Trueno an AE85 (the ae85 is a levin, the one in the game is a ae86 sprinter trueno) b) the trueno a turbo car. (its not) But i do agree that the Trueno is a good starter car.

Re: Starter car..
It is the best car to start with. About as fast as the others stock, but can spend several thousand on go-fast bits. The Mustang Cobra is kick ass for after too.

i won the miata with my trueno. i then sold the trueno to buy drivetrain parts for the miata. with the miata, i proceeded to beat the lowest level n/a races (without the tune-up!) and then the same level turbo races (lvl 1 turbo).
those are just the most memorable victories, i still use it a lot. with 364hp, i can lay a lot of smack down |

If you try code junkies codes you can get a infinite money cheat, but you need AR MAX disc and to be a member of that website. Anyway, once you've got infinite money you can start with any car that is available to buy.(Not a car you have to win.) |

Re: Re: Starter car..
I started with the Miata. Cheap, Light, accepted mods wells, dominated pretty well n the high speed, and you can use it later on in the game with the convertable cup and so on.

Re: Starter car..
first time around i got the Cruiser. It was decent. Next time around i got the miata, it had very good handling. Though i didn't save it that time...then the next time i got the sprinter trueno. ugly as hell but it is a very good car. RWD also. though in my opinion it may be the best bar the miata, it seemed like i had more trouble getting further in the game w/ the trueno then w/ the cruiser. maybe that's b/c i didn't sell any cars when i had the trueno. hmmm...
