Nissan R390 GT1
Hi everyone,
Getting stuck into this one from Tamiya. Going to include the Hobby Design photo-etch set and CF decals. As I've got some really good reference photos of the engine bay I'm going to try and replicate as much of the hosing detail as possible. Anyway into the build and a few progress pics - mostly working on the engine/gearbox and the turbo setup. Started filling and sanding the injection molds on the floor... |

Re: Nissan R390 GT1
Looks great. I started this one a while back and it kicked my butt. It is one of my future builds.

Re: Nissan R390 GT1
So some slow progress has been made. first stage of adding hosing and wiring is complete, started laying down the CF decals and adding the little things like rivets. Will need to add extra details once the firewall is ready. I also had a crack at doing my own springs. Took quite a few goes to get the right coil diameter and wire thickness but I'm pretty happy with how it came out for a first time.

Re: Nissan R390 GT1
Looks great. The only thing that is a bit out of scale are the red wire tie-downs - they are about the same size as shock springs, so slightly out of scale. But that's minor.

Re: Nissan R390 GT1
Wow, this is shaping up super nicely, wonderful job on the body paint and decals.
And that engine bay looks absolutely fantastic. Such a pretty car.
