remote start in 2004 pontiac grand am?

would it be possible to put a remote start in so I can just lock it then hold a button like newer cars can do?

I'd make sure someone installs the remote start properly, or you'll have security issues, and thats no fun!

In my opinion aftermarket remote starts are more hassle than they are worth. Almost everyone I have ever talked to who has had an aftermarket remote start installed ended up removing it because it caused other issues down the road.

i would agree with you, Stealthee. Cars with security features seem to have the worst problems. Even some factory remote starters arent very reliable IMO.

I had read over winter that in some state a guy got a ticket for letting his car warm up, with out being in it.
cop claimed it was unsafe leaving car unattended and running.

More often than not, it's the installer not the aftermarket system(there are systems and there are systems...don't get one just because it's the cheapest), that fails.....

They are installed as quickly as possible, and the connections made are for the most part faulty, that will eventually fail, or cause intermittent problems....
