Unfortunatly no, but other companies have similar products that have different finishes. Hopefully someone will respond with their name as i forgot. It might be in this thread, read the thread.

The product Leafs004 posted up (House of Kolor) has the other types of finishes you mentioned. Only problem is the House of Kolor product is a paint (http://www.coastairbrush.com/products.asp?cat=250), just like the SpazStix product someone else posted earlier in this thread.

Re: Alclad II vs. Kosutte Gin San...bye, bye Alclad!

Hi all, I just saw this thread and have already racked my brains over chromed parts for my cars for a year. At least some results now. I did a quick google on Kosutte Gin San just a few minutes ago and I clicked on the 1st search results: http://www.hlj.com/product/WRK00251 , I saw it on sale and quickly get 2 quantity of it. 3000Yen, with a 500yen delivery charge. Cost about 53SGD. anyone who wants it, quickly go now!

They should have it in stock i think. I bought 3 of them a while back. Just be careful with these powders. I belive they are very toxic if inhaled. Make sure you wear a mask

Nope, HLJ looks like they just ran out and Hobby Search ran out a bit before that. I think a slim chance for someone still looking for it would be HW Japan, but they've been out for months and months just like everyone else. https://www.hwjapan.com/sh/wor2513a.aspx

The packaging says it is non-toxic but seriously, when is it ever OK to inhale dust sized particles?

Has anyone successfully clearcoated this stuff? I wonder how well Future polish would do?

I tried, you can NOT clearcoat and touch with naked hands.

Can't touch, clear coat. Whats next, can't touch it? I have some and have yet to use it since my models and I are "on a break"

Honestly though with all the can'ts on this product, I am thinking or going back to what I used to do when I needed chrome for my muscle cars. Send it to CHROME TECH USA!!!! You get real chrome for a fair price. Look it up if you live in the US

Actually, yes. It will eventually transfer off if you handle it with your bare hands. I have not tried clear coating it yet, but since the instructions specifically state you cannot paint over it, the advisory is probably there for a reason.

Mine was just delivered last week. Also planning to experiment with Future, maybe even try dipping it like you would a canopy.
