power windows stopped working - 2002 Mercury Mountaineer
all of the windows on my 2002 mercury mountaineer suddenly stopped working. the window switches on the doors lost their backlight and the other switches on the doors (for door locks) still have thier backlight. I pulled and checked all fuses under the drivers side and none were blown. My owners manual does not list which fuse specifically controls the power windows.

Welcome to the forum. Search the forum for similar threads on power windows not working. I think you'll find that the problem is likely a broken wire in the rubber boot between the driver's door and the cabin. It's a pretty common occurrence on these.

When you do find the broken wire, make sure you solder when making the repair. I used quick crimp connectors with heat shrink twice and they worked for awhile until corroding apart. Solder seems to work best.
