2000 Focus 'no-start/run' - Alarm???
I have a 2000 Ford Focus that has no response to key/ign position. The wipers come on w key on and the brake stops the wipers. Car will start and idle, but as soon as I hit brake, it shuts down. I unhooked the green solenoid from brake pedal and bypassed it w a jumper wire and car w run and drive but I still have to unlock shifter through access hole and screwdriver. I am no electronic guru and feel it has something to do w alarm but have no idea where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
