Ferrari 458 Italia
After sitting months in my pile, I finally going to build it. The Ferrari 458 Italia from Revell.
I bought some extras to give it a more realistic look. I also going to change the wheels cause the original wheels are very ugly. These Hobby Design Novitec wheels look awesome! The color will be Blue Tour De France from Ferrari. Kris.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia
Did some work on this Beauty.
First I primered the body after scribing out the panellines and sanding the moldlines. Followed by a few layers of Blu Tour De France. And 2K clearcoat: Also started on the engine. The engine was painted silver and a little bit of smoke. The valve covers are painted with Tenco Proto to give it a rough finish. After that I painted it flat red. The airbox was covered with carbon decal, and smoke to make it darker. The airintake was painted the same as the valve covers. I added the A+Club metal stickers and some BMF to replicate the hoseclamps. The enginebay was also covered in carbon some smoke paint. After that I added the PE badges and original decals on top of it. I clearcoated it with 2K Clear. I also got started on the chassis and interior. Kris.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia
Today I completed the interior. I painted it Ocker Brown. Added PE parts like pedels, shifters, seatbelts and ventilationgrilles.
I used antracite flocking on the floor and used Modelmaster chrome silver for the aluminium dashboard parts. Now I'm going to polish the body and paint the windowtrims. Kris.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia
A beige interior looks much better with a dark beige or a light brown carpet.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia
Meanwhile I painted the windowtrims:
The wheels were painted silver and clearcoated after adding a Ferrari badge. The wheel trims were painted metallic grey and clearcoated. After that I used Kusette chrome powder to chrome the trims. After that I putted the wheels together and added low profile Pegasus tyres on them. The body is polished, the clearparts are glued in place and I added several mesh parts from the PE set. The chassis got painted, I modified the suspension to fitt the new big wheels. I also glued the engine and interior in place. Meanwhile I'm struggling to get the body on the chassis. I hope it won't be damaged. Kris.
