Wiring amp speakers to head unit or straight from amp?
I'm having trouble figuring out where to wire my speakers from my amp to? I have two amps. One is a 5 channel and the other is a 2 channel. I plan on installing a new head unit in my vehicle, 6 new speakers to replace stock ones, a 12 inch sub, and the two amps. I know how to wire everything besides the speakers.
Do I hook the amp speaker wires to the car stock wiring and bypass the head unit or do I splice the amp speaker wires into the wiring harness with the the new head unit? I just want it to be done right and still be able to control my speakers from my head unit. Do I need a special head unit? Please help. Thank you. |

the speaker wires FROM the stock headunit will go into the amps inputs, you may need a LOC to convert to RCA. The speakers wires from the amp are wired into the actual speakers.
