Acura Gold Plated Emblem Kit

Hi, I got a Acura EL... I am planing to get the Gold Emblem Kit... my questions are how do you remove the old Acura Emblem out of the car?? and the 1.7 EL emblem?? anyone ever try this??

And the other questions are... I am a little afraid to put this Gold Emblem on my car... it seems the "Acura" Logo on the car is a "TARGET" for some idiot asshole to steals it!

well the emblems are quite easy to remove, if your careful get a small flat tip screwdriver and just pry em off, its only glue holding them there.

as far as someone stealing them, u just have to risk it.

people use fishing line to get them off too, from what i hear. just put behind it at the top and pull down. should cut all the glue making the emblem fall off. doesnt rick scratching the car either.

GOLD SUCKS! gold is so damn ugly on cars! when wll people learn! i guess it's personal taste, but DAMN if you like that kinda stuff, you need to have your head examined. silver is so much better. or nothing. the clean smooth look is nice too.

take your ghetto gold emblems elsewhere!!!!:finger:

oh ya. try bug and tar remover to get rid of the gule and a hair dryer to get emblem off.. i'd say heat gun but chances are you don't know how to use 1 cuz if you did this thread would not exist nor would you be dumb enough to post it here!!

heat them up slightly with a hair dryer and slide a screw driver up under the edge of it to pop it off...as for SOME of the people who have answered your post...

Unhappy

I am sorry but I have to throw my .02 in on this, I think the gold emblems are a little ghetto, yes indeed. But hey if you like it on your car more power to you and enjoy them. Also a tip: clean the area real good with rubbing alcohol after you remove the stock emblems. Again enjoy your emblems they are deffinatly better than rice lol!
