[help] 2000 windstar passenger door won't open from outside

I recently had to change the passenger side door lock actuator on my 2000 ford windstar, the door lock now opens with the fob but now the new problem is that the door won't open from the outside and i don't know how to fix it. If you guys have a video or pictures of how the door handle and door latch mechanism on a ford windstar is supposed to look like, please let me know... It can be that i bent a rod or i didn't put a rod in the right place, or it could be that i damaged the door latch itself but i don't know what to do next. please help me.
thanks

If everything else is working, I suspect something happened to the rod that attached the exterior handle to the latch mechanism.

I replaced my door actuator a few months ago - but didn't take any pictures. Let me see what info I can find...
