Driver Side Window Issues

Hi,

I've got an '01 TT, it's been sitting for a long time due to medical reasons. Just today I was able to drive it, everything worked fine except the driver side window, which worked fine last time I drove it. It goes down automaticall with a quick flip of the switch, but won't go up unless you hold it. However, holding it, it will only go up 1/3 then stop. If I press the switch again, it will go up another third then stop, and one more time to the top. any suggestions? Short circuit somehwere? Bad ground? Bad switch? Bad motor?

Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Driver Side Window Issues

You may have it fixed by now, but I dont believe its the motor. Sounds like a relay or the acctual part that lifts the window may be failing.

Re: Driver Side Window Issues

Hey,

Thanks for the response. I sorta fixed the problem. I sold the car, so it's no longer my problem. Thanks though
