2002 X Type Clicking Noise.
I just got a 2002 x-type and I noticed that it makes a strange clicking noise. It seems like it only makes this noise when I take my foot off of the brake , but it also seems to go away after the car warms up. It sounds like a relay clicking or something. The noise appears to be coming from under the center arm rest where the traction control switch is. Any ideas about what it may be? Thanks for any help. I did try to toggle the traction switch to see if it goes away but it did not.

Re: 2002 X Type Clicking Noise.
The noise is probably coming from your shifter, it was happening to mine too. I never had it diagnosed, and now I'm having to force the shifter from park into gear. Get it checked by a professional.
