What car, what engine? Got spark to the plugs, will it fire if you spray carb cleaner into the intake?

Re: 2004 chevy classic...wont start
I have a 2004 chevy malibu maxx. I am having a problem with the passlock system and the car will not crank or start. On this car I can't find the bundle of 3 wires on the ignition cylinder. There is a connection but it has 6 wires and none of them are black.
The car used to start, then it began to haze the intermittent cutting off problem. Now it wonk even crank. Changed the lock cylinder but still nothing. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP??? It's my only way to work. I'M GETTING DESPERATE.OF |

The security sytem has you locked out. Do you have another key, if so do a relearn procedure, or try it with your single key, google the procedure, plenty of info out there.

Re: 2004 chevy classic...wont start
I found out why my 02 Malibu wouldn't start some times. After having the ignition key and ignition lock replaced twice I found out that my key did not have a chip in it and had nothing to do with it not starting. I found by replacing the casing or housing to the ignition starter lock assembly witch has all the wires attached to it, my car has never missed starting once. It took me about an hour. I purchased the part on Amazon for $45.00 dollars and found the help to replace it on YouTube.

I don't believe there is a serviceable fuel filter on that generation. The filter is in the tank and part of the fuel pump assembly.
