Should I buy an MR2 or upgrade my Civic Si?

Hi! I currently own a 2017 Civic Si. It is stock aside from a cold air intake, bov, and Hondata FlashPro. I have been considering getting PRL's Big Turbo upgrade kit for it. But I know, ideally, I would have to upgrade internals and my intercooler for it to run the safest. And that will no doubt cost me $10000CAD, give or take.

I have been looking at getting a 90's JDM car for years now. I finally found one in great shape, one of my favourites.
It's a 1991 Toyota MR2 2.2L. It looks to be in excellent condition, 95,000km, $17000CAD. Is this a good deal? Or is it a little over priced? I was wondering if it is worth it to get that car, and possibly turbo it later. Or should I just stick with my Civic and upgrade that?

Lemme know what you guys think or if you have any insight, THANKS!
