OK... just went through every page, and part of your parts thread after posting ^^^ that little bit... I don't have words to describe in my vocabulary to describe what I just saw. It is just awe inspiring.

The fact that you put so much effort, dedication, and detail into this project should serve as an example to us all. I still cant even begin to imagine how hard it is to make some of those super small parts like those guages and such, my hands could never be that steady.

Wow, just wow... I can't wait to see more.
You said it!

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

Now that is a muffler. Nice work Mark. I really like the way you built it using two seperate pieces. How did you cut the angle on the tip of tube? Did you use a slitting saw and your mill?

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

Thanks guys, this is one of the funner projects for this car. Too bad the fit is so snug I can't pull out the baffle now.
Actually there's 7 pieces (wonder how it worked out to 7?) plus the "glass". The megaphone part is one piece, cut on the lathe with a standard cutting tool. The tips of both tubes were milled to the same angle with an end mill... - Mark

Air Horns

Machined the horns, hardware and filter parts. The red rings are "plastic" snap on items to hold the debris screens on, actually machined from aluminum, (what else?). SMS HiDef C/F on the mount plate.
Still working on the filter part of the air box... - Mark

Thought I'd include the "big" ruler in a shot...

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

wadding in the muffler? man, you can't even SEE that and it's there.

this build is simply insane. i have to ask - are you diagnosed obsessive-compulsive?

Air Cleaner

Goes over the intake horn assembly, (shown partially inserted in the top picture). Mostly machined aluminum except for the threaded studs, cloth element and internal mesh. Most of the raw parts were posted with the air horns earlier. Custom decals too... - Mark

I have Ignition!

The boots for the wires are machined aluminum, (what else?), with vinyl tubing. The bottom one is fully assembled and painted, the one above is the assembled parts. The rest of the parts are above them, the one different part is the boot for the coil.

Almost finished distributor, ready for installation.

Coil assembly, mounted and wired into the system.

Other side view of mounted distributor. Still much to do in the engine compartment (and other places).

The actual ignition wire is from an old remote controlled Countach model I had in the 70's. Saving the old stuff is not the problem, finding it when you want it is... - Mark
