I know some Maxima guys that would be interested too. I think we could get a good turnout.
By the way, I got my exhaust done today. I put a Magnaflow exhaust on the Max and it is loud. I had no idea it would be this loud. I like it.

How much did you paid? You are saying exhaust, Is it rear section near the tail pipe? I don't know much about exhaust.:frog:

I had the rear section done. The 20th Max has an I30 muffler which is really kind of ugly. The pipes are downward facing and there isn't any tips. I put a magnaflow muffler on it to give it a better look and sound. Its nice and shiny too. It didn't cost that much either. The guy hooked it up for me, everything was under $300.

I noticed that the 20th AE MAX with the tail pipe facing downward. At first when I saw AE Max I though someone bought a gxe and put in the ground effect. But when I went to the dealer I noticed that all AE Max are the same with ugly tail pipe. Good that you replaced with a new one.

The funny thing is that I didn't even notice the ugly muffler until I brought the car home for the first time. I thought the muffler should at least have the chrome exhaust finisher that the normal SEs have. The old brochure even said that the 20 Edition should have chrome tips. I guess they changed it though. I'm not sure why they would leave the muffler like that. Maybe is is because of the aero kit. There isn't a big opening under the bumper for pipes to stick out.:silly2:

When you paid that much of money for a car, they should at least give you a decent muffler.:flamer:

the ugly muffler is designed to be a replica of how the Skyline GT-R R33 works. the muffle has a valve that opens up after a certain rpm. The muffler might be ugly, but it's just as good if not better than after market mufflers. It's almost like nissan's version of V-TEC. difference the location of the valve.:eshooter:

Hey 20th maxstyle,
I thought that the muffler has designed to give you a quiet ride at low rpms but when you hit it, the valve opens and then you get more air flow. If an after market muffler maximizes air flow at all rpms, it would seem like I don't lose much. Do you think I actually slowed my car down by putting on an aftermarket muffler and replacing some of the pipes?

If there was a gain, it was probably only around 2-3 hp, but at least our rides look PHAT.
